I just picked up this ladies frame Lightening Flyer. Apparently it was made by the Climax Cycle Co. Chicago IL, but thats about all i know. It has a skip tooth chain, chain tensioners, black out hubs (front is a New Departure and the rear is a Morrow. The morrow has a " G " on the braking arm, and on the hub it reads...
" Eclipse Machine Division Made in Elmira N.Y. USA 02 36 13 ". The serial # is 2311536 and is on the bottom bracket. Does anyone know anything about these bikes? Any info would be very appreciated!!!

It's a Huffman, it's on their badge list in the NBJ book. If those are the og rims, it's probably either a 42 or a very early postwar. Morrow hubs should have a letter code, I can't remember what's what year though. 36 is the spoke count and 13? (I forgot already lol) is the teeth count on the sprocket, they're often misread as the year. -Adam
