Long Cruiser

Finally my picts. I sold my car and ride this 5 days a week. 2008 Schwinn 7 speed all aluminum frame.

This is my current long term project. Stared out as a girls '58 Schwinn Spitfire. I cut and stretched it. In this picture I don't have the original rims on, but I do plan on using them by the end. I also plan on matching the worn and rusty blue over red primer on the rest of the frame. It should'nt be too difficult as I have 20 years of finish under my belt. I do need to find longer handlebars for this. Also, if any one has a head badge that you would let go that matches this let me know.

Here is a view to show the length, the colors on the fender I plan to match, and a saddle with character I found for 25 cents.

Thanks man, I would not have known I was ok withut having found this site!! I started doing this late last winter before I found out others were also. By the way, does your "junk" sometime stir thing up ? Or is it just me?

Just had a funny thought...these are 50 years apart.
keep in mind that my goal for budget on this one is $0 and elbow grease. And I know the current cranks, wheels, and tires really take away from the look.

tHANKS CMAN. I HOPE YOU DON'T MIND IF I BORROW THE AMMO BOX IDEA. dO YOU REMEMBER WHAT WOOD YOU USED FOR YOUR WOOD BIKE FRAME, THIS IS ALSO ON MY "TO DO" LIST AS i HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH WOOD FOR YEARS.

I have had requests for this in the past with no complaints when finished so I hope it goes well for my own poject.
