Totally unrelated to each other, but I'm just venting because I'm upset.

Steve gave me a brass RRB head badge years ago. I finally found a use for it on my son's ratty chopper for the MBBO... and I can't find the darn thing!

Also, I'm restoring a Rail III to flip, and the white housing is looking old and tan. So I soaked them in bleach. No big deal for the brake housing, they came out nice. But I can't take apart the hardware on the shimano 3-speed housing. I didn't think it would be a big deal, but apparently bleach breaks down soft aluminum. So the adjustment barrel is ruined. The only way to replace that is to replace the whole housing/cable assembly... which is frustrating.

How do these two upsetting things tie in together? I'm an idiot. That's how.
