I think I'm going to enter my other build I began last summer as well. It started it's life from the rear as two mismatched front forks. I don't have as many photos of the early build process though. Still trying to get it finished up. I'm going for the Castrol Motor Oil can colour paint scheme...

Yeah, the Basman was sort of my inspiration for it. This is actually my first total ground-up build.

I like the way your crank is nestled on top of the bottom tube.
It looks nice and sturdy there, and I bet it is, with plenty of ground clearance too.

I've been caught by chain line as well.

Great looking build, how's the fit?

Good idea on the front fork for the chainstay, puts the 990 mounts right where you need them, even though you didn't use them.

Fit is good. Couldn't get much better I'd say.
