Being the ..... that I am, I re-injured my back flipping the Liner over and back and over and back yesterday. Gonna take a few days off from it to heal.
Here are a few daylight pics from yesterday’s progress

OK, gonna sit on the bench for a few, catch y’all soon!

Sharp and clean execution and attention to detail!
Heal up!

Looking good Doc. Really nice work on that taillight assembly. I can’t imagine how many times I’ve flipped heavy bikes like you described and later thought I should not being doing it. Take care mate.

Loving this build!💪🏻😎✌🏻

I'm sure that you covered it early on, but I'm just now really paying closer attention to the headset. I really love the look of the bearing cups!

Just like the rest of the bike, the headset looks so clean. Now I want a set to use on something.

Get better soon so that you can get BACK to building!

Enough bedrest for the doctor!

Cured all the rubs and cruised it around a bit, probably a couple of miles. I really like these bars, great pullback, comfy angle. Rise is perfect, not really ‘apes’, but not ‘not apes’ either.

Spent some ‘quality’ time with the chainguard. Stripped off the jacked up paint, flap disc down to bare metal, a little wire wheel for the tighter curves and shot a fresh heavy coat of the epoxy enamel. From what I read about this paint, I was supposed to ‘avoid primer’ (it doesn’t like filler either), so I shot it directly on the raw metal. It’s FAR from perfect, but good enough. I may do it ‘properly’ at some point in the future, but it’ll work for now.

I’ll put cure for a few days and put the custom graphics on it and button ‘er up!

Love how the headlight is nested in the fork. Looks great!

I understand the humidity all to well. Before I started using my phone for most of my pictures I would struggle with keeping my camera lens from fogging up until it had time to acclimate.

Your new fence has become a great backdrop for showing off your bike builds!

Bike is looking 'spiffy' ! Will you use your chrome paint pen to detail the chain guard ridges as well? Might be a nice tie in to the tank, Tank.

Yep, the ends on a couple of them have the chrome rubbed off by the crank at some point in the past.
I realized last night that I missed the bottom edge completely, so (in between rain drops) I’ll spray that area (probably the whole thing) and let it cure. The previous pic makes the finish look a LOT worse than it actually is, must have been the reflection from the window. I’m not saying it perfect, but it’s not horrible, I’m going with ‘good’…😁

Repaint is ‘done’, just gonna let it cure for a another day before applying the graphics

@OddJob
Here’s some detail pics of the before/after area where I ‘touched up’ the chrome with paint marker.

After:

As you can see, the dark areas are now shiny.

Beautiful and smooth work

Since I currently lay my bike in the back of my 1995 Volvo wagon, I decided to add some ‘tank protection’ so the truss rods don’t do too much damage during transport.
Went to the hardware store and picked up some 3/8” ID, 1/2” OD clear plastic tubing.

Also decided to paint the area between the ribs on chainguard, like it was done stock, grabbed a ‘Sharpie’ brand paint pen (oil-based paint, not marker ink). Once it cures, I’ll run some steel wool over it to clean up the lines, then decal, then done!
