I need to make a public apology to member bighit for the way I handled things with the site today.

He PMed me asking if he could promote his "Anything Goes" build off on his new forum and I reacted poorly by launching my own "Anything Goes" build off. It was a panicked reaction because I had been planning to start an unofficial build off in the upcoming weeks. People had been asking for an "Anything Goes" version this time around so that is what I had planned to do. I was waiting to start the build off until I got my latest batch of shirts in (Oct 14th) so that I could send an e-newsletter out to everyone promoting the two.

Unfortunately my stupidity in throwing that together at the last minute to counter his request ended up making Brian understandably upset. After thinking about it for a bit, I realized that wasn't the way that I wanted to handle things so I decided to pull it all down and come up with plan B...a theme based build off.

If you'd like to participate in an Anything Goes Build Off this fall I'm going to point you to Brian's site to help make it a success.

Oh wretched man that I am...

Steve

^ This is how you make big strides toward making things right.

When it comes to many circumstances, it's how you react to them that matter more than the circumstances themselves.

I don't really see the problem with having a build off on two different sites at the same time. That said I don't know how many people frequent both sites. It's only a few days later than when last years unofficial build-off started so it's not like you did it to spite the other forum. Kind of you for pulling the build off and apologizing though.

Glad to see there isn't going to be a Rumble in the Jungle or a Thrilla in Manilla.
