I was looking into an incomplete late 60's Hiawatha for $50 viewtopic.php?f=62&t=58429
when I came across this near matched set for $75. Both in ride-able condition.
The one on the left with the white seat has pretty slim front tire, almost like an old 10 speed road bike. The one on the right looks to be all original.
Neither are perfect, but I am pretty happy with them. I'll likely try to customize one of them at some point.

Re: Matching Hiawathas

Nice!

I'd 'restore'/refurb the one with the black seat, that front fender is crazy long and crazy cool. Then, 'rat-out' the other.

Whatever you do, those are great starting points for $37.50 a piece!

Cheers,
Dr. T

Thanks! the one with the fenders and Black seat is in the best shape, no doubt. the seat is pretty mint.
I'd have to learn how to do metal work to fix the fenders, there is a big hole and it's ripped near the fork and lots of dings, crimps. :(

Removed the fenders and threw a set of medium Wald apes and some huffy cranbrook wheels on the more ratty of the two bikes.
I am really loving this thing. I may be hooked!

I threw on the bars, wheels, removed the fenders and packed up my car to meet some friends at a campground.
I brought the bike with, it was awesome for cruising around the campground and I got a lot of compliments.
It made me feel like a kid again. Can't wait to work on another bike, I think I'll leave this one as is for now.
