Thanks. It is dialed. I'm slowly gathering parts for this bike for a klunker build. I'm not taking the bike apart until I have all of the parts because I love riding it.

The one thing I live with on this bike for now are the narrow handlebars. I'm used to 29 - 30" wide BMX bars.
I just acquired an HD similar to yours and have had the same thoughts about doing a klunker style cruiser. You and @JA331 have been putting some ideas in my head for this one!

Thanks. It was In great shape but just dirty when I got it and I have put only a few hours into clean up so far, but it really is coming out nice.
That's cool. Mine looks like it was ridden through a war zone.. I'm stripping it and painting it at some point.

Most of the used modern HD’s, Husky and Worksman that I’ve seen are pretty beat up, paint-wise. If they came from the industrial sector, they are typically abused and neglected by the employees that used them.

I lowered the seat a bit as well as dropping the bars a couple of inches for this morning's ride. I wanted to see what it was like to actually sit "in" the bike instead of "on top" of the bike. I like the feeling of actually sitting in the bike, but my legs are on the fence whether they like it or not. Although I'm only 6', I have long legs with a 34 and a 1/2 inch inseam. I think this set up will be better once it becomes a klunker with BMX bars. We'll see.....

don't let your dad see that!
Yeah, he was always getting on me as a kid because I went thru back tires so quickly. Not much has changed, I still like to skid. I need to find a tire that will hold up to skidding a little better. Any ideas?

I couldn't possibly answer that, because here in rural Eastern Poland my specialist tire knowledge is limited to ageing Stomils, current BTwins and whatever I come across in my local hardware store ;)

I've also come to find that these tires don't like skidding.. This is just from one skid!View attachment 175755
Those cheap Duro bricks don't hold up. They're relatively soft

If you are just sidewalk surfing and cruising town get something burly like maxxis hookworms. Heavy, but they last

I added a QR seatpost collar to my Big Blue Cruiser Supreme BMX. Tooling around, the saddle is up. Dealing such as at the pump track or bombing a mountain road, it gets dropped.

Seconding the Maxxis Hookworms and confirming that they are indeed heavy.
a quick release Clamp is a great idea. I will add that to My Shopping List.

I'm actually going to be painting this bike black in 2 weeks. I have a thing for black. The entire bike will be black except for the silver chain. I've recently come to appreciate white wall tires. I'm on the fence whether or not to go white walls or black. Any thoughts?
