First Flight Bikes has one forsale also. http://www.firstflightbikes.com/bikesfor.htm Mini Krate Schwinn Lemon Peeler 16" rear wheel 12" front: I built this up 10 years ago or so. It was a 16" wheel Stingray frame that I modified to replicate a Krate. Parts used include: front and rear Atom drum brakes, Schwinn % speed Stik Shift, original Krate seat shocks added to the mini sissy bar, Schwinn approved rear derailleur, NOS Gripper slick, 20" spring fork.
both bikes are very nice. thats the kinda thing i wanna get for my kids (once i have some). id much rather find or build them one something like those bikes vs get them something new rom xmart.
I love it. Only thing I'd change is to shotren the shifter stick to make it proportional to the rest of the bike. Dunno if you can do that to the shifters tho'.
Nah, don't get it. It just hurts to read all this about the hand-painting the logo and clear-coating it and on and on, and some kid's gonna get it and go throw it in the gravel, or hate it because it's not pink or leave it on the next block or something. Antiques and kids are just not a good combination.

Agreed.
I'd never let a kid near this bike. It's a work of art and as such, belongs on the wall.
