I picked up this bike back in September because it had a Shimano Nexus 7 roller brake wheelset. My plan was to Un-Build it so that I ended up with a free wheelset and some parts. I only paid $110 for it and I sold the Planet Bike fenders for $25. So any over $85 makes the wheelset free. I'll probably ask $150-170 for the Un-Build.
Here is what I started with.
I spent today throwing this together with spare parts.
I had to replace a few spokes on the front wheel. These radial spoked wheels came from a beach cruiser that I paid $10 mainly for it's new Kenda Flame tires. I sold the baskets that it had for $25.
I kinda liked the original crank, so I kept it and put an OCC on it. I also swapped the stem for simple MTB stem. Then I slapped so flipped city bike bars on it.
The flame seat comes from a little kids bike I got for it's flame wheel inserts. I slapped some flame stickers to match the seat. I re-used the original tubes and tires.
This bike actually rides quite nicely. It's a light aluminum frame with an unusual canti design, so I think it will sell pretty easily.
