Hey Everybody,
The MN antique and Classic Fall Ride was Sep25th in Mpls, MN
My wife and me went last year, some of our friends joined us this year.
About double the number of people
Lots of nice people and bikes. Great weather too!
Everybody met at Boom Island (on the Upper Mississippi River)
There was lots of cool bikes and interesting conversations
After a bit, we headed down the river on to Nicollet Island
Along Saint Anthony Main‘s riverfront
These father/daughter riders were laughing and having a great time!
To the Stone Arch bridge, to hang out for awhile
Downtown Mpls, St. Anthony falls, and the LockAndDam in the background
My friend, Mr K and his JC Higgins
Another Father/Daughter team were riding this tandem
Nice Roadmaster!
Cool Sheby Rat Rod
Good mix of cool bikes
My wife’s lightweight Hawthorne and the Hot Rod Liner
There was lots of people going across the bridge and enjoying the group’s bikes
So we heading north on the west bank, encontering a few slightly steep hills
I raced ahead because it’s too hard to ride slow
and got a great pic of my Wife, Mr. K and his sister Ms T climbing the hill (and smiling)
Headed back to Boom Island for the Bike contest
Here’s a nice Spaceliner and a cool Skyrider
Awesome Elgin
I swear this was the coolest thing I’ve ever seen!!
1938 Hawthorne
All aluminum, 2 cast pieces and 2 tubes (unlike the Monarch Silver King)
The tank was part of the upper cast piece :?: :!:
With Dropouts like a Spaceliner 8)
1938 Raleigh (I think), She and her friend won the trophy!
Lots of fun! Great group of people! Looking forward to next year already…
Thanks for looking.
