Monarch vs. Monark

I read a post a while back that explained the difference between these and now I can't seem to find it. Which came first and what years did each one exist. I've found a Monark (I'm pretty sure it's not all that old) but now I'm curious about the difference in the two. Are they the same company just at different times or are they seperate companies. I know there is somebody on here that knows the answer, I haven't asked a question yet that hasn't been answered!!!

If it's actually spelled "Monarch", it's a turn of the century bike. They had nothing to do with the later Monark co. ~Adam

I found a short quote in one of my books that says Monarch stopped production in 1910, and Monark began in 1934. I seem to recall that Monark and Silver King were two different co.'s that got together. ~Adam
