Have to wire the light and cant decide if I want to put the chain guard on. Oh and a seat.

Before I forget, a big thanks to Bob, Ratina's dad for trueing my rear rim up. Much appreciated.

Guess if there was a good time to get a flat it is right when ya have to take the tire off to get the rim trued. Its sitting in the garage waiting for me to get it back together.

Hopefully santa brings me a seat. Ive been a ok boy. :D

Well I think santa may bring me a seat. But thanks to some good ideas from peeps on this forum I found a leather jacket for $5 that will make great seat cover material. It even has a area in the general shape of a seat with a diamond patern sewn into ot.

Kevin that would be cool on one of those squarish 60's seats. I go to the thrift store for my leather seats Oldgreaser is doing a seat cover for my CB 500 for the seat pan I made he can do some awesom sewing. Check out this link.

So been bummed cause I thought I didnt have a usable seat for this. Looking around for other things I found a ugly black Messenger seat. Tore off the cover and foam and had a nice shiney pan to work with. Used some jute to pad it, and covered it with the seude leather from the thrift store coat I had bought. It turned out ok, back on the bottom its sorta bumpy. But not bad for not having done a seat in 8 plus years.

Now I need to wire the light, change the light bracket and for now it will be done. I want to pin stripe it later.

Thanks guys, its close to done. Im gonna go guardless, like the simple stripped down look. Gotta wire the light and change the light bracket and its done.

Eventually Id like to put a 3spd on it. Ive got a sturrmey, but its most likely going on my Elgin as its lile a brick on wheels.

Well I never wired the light up, but its up for sale, got it on CL right now and be posting a ad here shorlty. Gotta fund some repairs to my Corvair van, gotta keep it rollin.

Current status.

Well it never sold. And I should have enough $ to do repairs to my van and will be getting the parts soon. Shouldn't have bought this but I've wanted one since before the Dana explosion here. Did a make a offer with something I thought was fair and was ready to get denied. A little latter I got the notification my offer was accepted. NOS in the packaging, I'm gonna feel bad opening it, BUT (that's a big but) I'm gonna have fun using it on my Monark. I'm sick of it being single speed. So now I add to the Dana count round this place.

When I got home late from work it was on the porch. Wasted no time unboxing it and opening it up. [br][br]

[br][br]All shiny and new old. [br][br] Looked easy to do so I took it out to the garage and proceeded to put it on. [br][br]

[br][br]Have the 3 speed sticker to do still. But took it around the block. Loud compared to our modern multi speeds but cool to say the least. Ill post a outside pic tomorrow.

So finally did a light on it. Got this light for a good deal. But does it need to be orange?
At the suggestion of Gary (xco4?) I did fabric covered wire, found orange.

What ya think?
