monark forks

I was wondering if anyone has given serious thought to building their own monark style fork, I know some of you do some great fabrication, and I would think compared to some of the stuff I have seen made on this site it would be easy by comparison. Even some thing as simple as using a spare fork and some springs. I would think some one would be able to the top and bottom mounts and sell it as a kit.

there was one that was done using a fork for the front struts with (if i recall right) a spring from one of the schwinn style springers....dont recall who did it but it was in the bike builds section not too long ago.....
anyone remember whos bike it was?

I was thinkin of trying to make one using big block ford valve springs. Just waiting to get the right donor fork.

using heavy car valve springs now your on the right track. take a look at the 392 hemi springs i posted pics of in my build off build. as for full fabed monarch forks i swear with mine each time i work on it i am changing the original parts hehe but thats part of the fun.
