This was going to be my Build Off Bike... Just didn't happen in time.

I have and the great pleasure to ride both Mplscoster's and Ratina's Spacliners

Both bikes are killer fast and fun!

A few weeks ago I figured out that a 700c wheel will fit in the rear of a Monark frame.

Was looking for cheap deep V's for the build Oldgreaser had the great idea of going in 50/50 on a Walmart bike. THANKS Rik!

$160 with tax delivered to my door. I get the wheels and tires Rik gets the rest of the bike.... (when I deliver it]

I know your jealous of the mix match tires

Early mock up

Lots of room with this 27" fork my or my not use this one.

Big THANKS! to xc204 for welding up the seat tube back to the bottom bracket!

Things to happen from here....
lace in a coaster brake hub.
see how fat a 700 tire I can fit in the back.

Lots more to come!

Re: The 700 Club

Whoa! That looks Cool!
Sure you can't get it done in time, you are the master...
Looking forward to seeing it done and you adventures on it :D

Re: The 700 Club

Now I see what you have in mind for the Monark! Spoke count right for the coaster ? It's looking good. Hey if you are in Heritage see if my frame could be done by next sat and you could bring it out.

Re: The 700 Club

Re: The 700 Club

Finally getting some work done on this.
Big thanks to Mplscoaster for giving me his "bad" Reflex tire for sizing.
Nice and fat 700x45

I don't have a good pic of the tire in the rear but there is still lots of room.
Going
To try going even fatter for the rear.

Spent some time trying out forks.

Thrid one is a charm.. 27" with the right hub spacing.

Perfect fit

I had to buy this BMX conversion kit of EBay. Makes American or 1pc bottom braket a 3pc.

Re: The 700 Club

Did some more work today.... More backwards then forwards

I was so excited about the fork the other day, I didn't notice that the steer tube was not going to be long enough once I put the headset cups and headset on

I did steal this truss bar set up from another project. I like how it looks.

Just put a stem and bars on to see how it might look when done.

Got to find another fork, Order a 32 hole coaster hub, Order the Rear tire.
More to Come

Re: The 700 Club ~~ Monark Street Racer ~~

Actually I'm going to try a Schwalbe Big Apple 700x55 Also known as 28x2.15 0r 29x2.15   all the same tire.
The Nomad is a 700x45 still lots of room in the rear see if I can find a pic of it on the Nomad on the rear.

THANKS!
