Monark

Drove out to the suburbs got this Monark from XC204 (Gary) Great guy!

This morning put some white walls and a girls Monark crank and chainring on just to see what it would look like

Ran the wire wheel over the head shroud should clean up well 8)

Anyone know anything about these fenders. Are they from a girls bike? did thay have skrits?

What is this for?

I can get the rear fender to sit a lot lower should look better

That bike is going to look sweet. I wonder if the groove in the front fender is some sort of wiring chase for a fender light? Hey show the knob on the downtube
maybe some one knows what that is? maybe a locking fork of some sort uses it? Got the Manton & Smith Gold Eagle Pacer almost ready to ride in Chicago next week.

The knob indicates that it is in fact a boys frame :lol: :lol:

The "knob" ... ... is a fork stop so the springer fork couldn't spin around and dent the tank.
The rear fender looks like a girls higgins colorflow fender.

Oh so thats what that is, I have a firestone with a weird mark in that area, I'm guessing somebody took my firestone's manhood away because it's gone, theres just weld markings left. "tear" Poor bike...

The m ore I look at that I think was a lock. really what else could it be? it's not for springers because that bike has no springer, i've seen a few of these monarks and all had same forks. so i'm guessing it had some kind of weird lock there.
