Mongoose 29r at Walmart

I saw this at Walmart recently. Mongoose Impasse, 21speed, disc brakes, aluminum frame, $199.
The pic is from their website. They also had another brand that was a 29r, but I don't remember the name.

I bought a 29er at wally world. I could not keep the chain on the front or back. It rode good by just lacked the quality I was looking for. I ended up returning it and buying a Specialized Hard Rock at a Bicycle shop. Twice the money but excellent quality. The gear / shift package is push & click rather then twist & guess. It just sounds like a fine piece of mechinery.

Yeah I saw that walgoose 29er this weekend buteven being made of aluminum it weighed about 45 pounds!!If you wanted a 29er it might pay off if you just used a few of the parts and replacing alot more.Might be cool for a casual no frills cruiser.Maybe even take the gears of,add a free wheel and build a cool single speed 29er.
