Seems like everyone is throwing away their lawnmowers and bicycles of late. I know none of these are of particular interest, but free is hard to pass on. These were all picked up by a friend of mine in one day. Not fimiliar with the "Gamma". I think it's Chinese. I thought the License was interesting. Never seen one before. I guess you slide the small section out to take with you while chained up so someone doesn't steal it. The Schwinn is a nice bike and will get donated to a local charity. It's amazing what people will set to the curb. Just too busy to run it down to the local Salvation Army, I guess.
Thanks for looking,
Regards,
Jules
Once again, I repeat........ there's far more free bicycles in this world than there is time or space.

good score for curbside saves. all 3 look in rather good condition, and thats totally cool your gonna donate one to good will. wish i has one around here, manybe i could donate them some of those roadmaster girls mountain bikes that keep coming my way. knowing me, id only go there to come out + bikes. oh, well.

Re: Yet more junk

Got home from a short day at work today, and found two frames and a large box of parts sitting on my front porch. I've only told a couple people I'm getting into bicycles, and this makes 19 partial or complete bikes in the last three weeks. Be careful for what you ask for.
Mostly junk, but what do I know. The Free spririt might make a good single speed?
Thanks for looking.....

I actually picked up 5 more since my post yesterday. Four kids bikes and a trike. Several of the neighborhoods here are having 'big trash" days this week. I think my neighbor and I have 8 now to give to charity. It just blows my mind what someone will set to the curb......

yeah, thats how i got started. id tell some people i am into to old bikes and b4 i knew it, everyone and their mamas were giving me bikes and alot of my bikes over the years were from the "if you fix this one for me, i will give you my old bike(s)", deals, dump finds or give aways. last summer i totalled up every bikes i had owned since i learned to ride abike, and it came out to over 100 bikes, with like 16 to 18 now, and expecting 2+ in a few week from a coworker. i keep what i can park and alot get parted out where all useable parts get cleaned up and sorted to storage in my shop (basement of the mad scientist). and you'll fall victim soon to the "N + 1", where "N" represents the current number of bikes owned, "all i need" theory.

that black bmx in the first pic looks like it could be something decent. Looks like it has a GT piston stem on it

My neighbor, the blank-ity-blank that got me into this mess, made a similiar comment. And, has his eye on it for a parts bike for himself :)

"N + 1" I see a T-shirt in my future. Not to mention a shirt for, Basement of the mad scientist :)

t-shirts, now theres an idea. :D
at one time i had so many bkes in my hop and was given litterally a truck load of about 10 full bikes and 4 or 5 parts bikes, that the obsession began to feel a bit creepy, about 9 years ago. since then, i had lost the ability to say no to a stray bike. how does my wife let me do it? i have my bikes and she spends ALOT of time online working on her book or on some RPG site, so we have a mutual acceptance for eachothers obsessions, and who are we kidding?... im obsessed.

I stripped a couple frames down today to send to the scraper.
What's the subject matter for your wife's book?
