This is one of the 8 bikes for $100 I bought a couple months ago. Too bad they were left outside for many years, they're all pretty rusty. But for $12.50 a pop, I couldn't resist! This one is a 70s-80s Western Flyer by Murray. Nothing special, though it does have cool grips, and the front rim cleaned up ok! Probably turn this into something cool later. ~Adam

Another from the '8', an older Huffy good Vibrations. I bought a new one of these on sale in '96 for $69.00, mainly for the rims and whitewalls. It had shorter fenders than these though. More raw material! ~Adam

Here's my idea, 26" Fastback/Mega Manta Ray!! I tried to get the og stem out, but it will require more torque than I can produce after work on a weeknight!! I'd love to put a Stik Shift on 'er, but they go for so much$$! ~Adam

Chinese 'Feida' bike, complete w/Chinese license plate! I know that they're not saving the "good chrome" for their own bikes, because every chrome part on this is peeling horribly! It's still pretty cool though, like a folding bike, only not! ~Adam

BF Goodrich badged Schwinn, a $35 craigslist special! Interesting point, it seems as though all the normally chrome parts on the bike were silver anodized. I've seen this on Columbia bikes, but not Schwinn. ~Adam

Tinkerized WalMart Schwinn. Not bad looking w/whitewalls, a decent seat, and vintage bow pedals! Unfortunately, a shelf full of hubs & parts fell over on it, dented the fenders, and scratched the rack. :( Maybe I'll actually RIDE this one eventually!!! ~Adam

"The Chromeliner", something I started a couple years back. Not exactly a Rat, what with all the chrome, but I think the attitude is the same! Early 60s Flightliner frame via ebay. I think the Elgin chainguard is a repop, never seen a chrome one on a bike. And, a Monark sprocket, and Dyno bow pedals. I have a chrome rear rack for it somewhere, all I need is one of those silver flame seats! ~Adam
