Moving to Detroit

Okay Let’s Do This!!…
I grew up in Ann Arbor Michigan

* May of 1999 Got married
* June 1999 moved to Chicago
We made beautiful baby’s two fantastic sons in 2001 and 2002

Staring working at Trader Joe’s in 2008 I’ve been bike commuting everyday to and from work all this time

* 2018 got divorced. (All good things happen)
In the last year I’ve reconnected with a fantastic women Danielle who is living in Detroit.
In May we just bought a house in Detroit in the Bagley neighborhood and are making some repairs and upgrades and will be moving in in late September.
Just got my work transfer and will be working at the TJ’s Royal Oak store (stop by and say hi)
The house is 7 miles from work a easy daily bike ride.
Can’t wait to get settled in and find some cool people to ride with and explore the city of Detroit. Lots of positive things happening in Detroit right now.
Going to miss The Chicago TailDraggers like crazy. But will be back in Chicago often to see my 19 year old son as he and I will visit back and forth. Plus @Pookie42 has the CTD always well organized for rides etc.
Another bonus of living in Detroit is I’ll be 40 minutes away from my mom in Ann Arbor

Kentucky Fried Movie just turned 45 years old a few days ago. My two older brothers snuck me in to the drive-in during its run in the theaters. I've never looked into it, but Zucker/Abrams/Zucker somehow have a beef against Detroit. Remember, this is from the golden age of political incorrectness and may offend those who are not familiar with the works of these individuals:

Detroit is an excellent city for riding old bikes, it’s so flat! The people are far more tolerable to live around than those of AA too, that place is just packed with vapid boomers and when the sportsball begins, may God have mercy on you and DO NOT leave your house. LOL

The move went as smoothly as it possibly could. Even got the Worksman Qaud loaded up no problem.

15 ft U-Haul this is all just “bike space” stuff before I loaded my apartment in the truck also.. somehow it all fit
