does anyone know how to reassemble one of these? i've got one that came on a bike i bought from someone on this site. i respoked the wheel and rebuilt the hub based on exploded diagrams and now that its back together it's hard to pedal it forward and when you turn the pedals backwards it freewheels instead of braking. lemme know if you have any suggestions. thakns!

this came up on another site once, and as crazy as it sounds, it WAS the problem. do you have the bike upside down when trying to pedal it by hand? :shock:

no. i had it in a bike stand at work. . . .right-side-up.

believe it or not, that actually was the problem on another site for someone. could happen to any of us, kinda like locking your keys in the car or runnin outta gas. actually, i wish your problem was that simple, you would be riding now. sorry i cant be of more help.
