My Best Trash Find So Far

Pedalling my bike down one of my local back lanes I spotted this beautiful Miyata RoadKing tandem next to the garbage cans almost begging for someone to take it home. I raced home on my bike, ran as fast as a 47 year old dude can run back to the alley and nabbed the tandem. I wheeled it back home and checked it over, two blown tire tubes, missing rear seat and seatpost and a front brake cable, minor details, just could not believe it was trashed

It was most definitely in the trash, although I can't understand why, with such minor issues. Does anyone know roughly how old it would be?

I like the disc brake in the rear. I passed on a old road bike with one of those Shimano units on it. Cool find.
