Here is how I was able to revive my passion for all things custom. I started to modify 1/64th scale diecast and attended many Hot Wheels conventions in my past. I recently found some of the 2009 Hot Wheels offerings at my local Wally World and got the itch to build one. Here are the fruits of about 6 hours of labor.

Enjoy!

holy carp, Joe!! I assume you cut out the doors, hood and trunk lid so that you can add hinges. Is that bare metal now? If so, what color will go on it? thanks for showing us.

Man you are so good, it gives me the "Willys". Get it? lol :p Awesome work

Joe also forgot to tell you all that he has hands the size of a baby raccoon.

Sweet work Joe...any before shots?

I occasionally customize a HW car too. Although your attention to detail blows me away. Heres a 66Charger I did a few years back
