My First Trike -- FINALLY FINISHED --

O.K. be nice, this is my first.

A friend gave me this trike.
It was ridden twice then put in the
corner of the garage for two years.
Then it was moved to the back yard
for six months.

Yeah, its going to be a tall one. The seat on it makes it look a lot taller than it is.
The top of the "steering tube" (not sure what the real name is) is about chin high
when you're on it. I'm trying to decide between ape hangers or kinda modified beach
comber style of bars.

I don't know where you've been but I like where you're going. I love that streamlined rake. That's gonna be cool as all get out. I'm staying tuned until the grand finally.

I got a little bit done today. I basically finished the frame.
After sitting on it, I thing that I need to beef up the front end.
I'm kinda kicking around the idea of building a springer front end.

Here's what I did today...
I was just messing around with the handlebars. They are not staying.

Very Nice..... I am building one also... 1 Word of advice... Make a re-enforcement bracket linking the top tube and the down tube at the steer tube(got all that).. Mine cracked due to the stress......

Maybe like a peice of 1/4" plate welded between all three peices
(the top tube, the down tube and the steering tube)?

Added gussets as Buddha suggested.

Got a pretty good start on the new springer front end.

Pretty much finished the springer tonight.
Now I just need to go buy some springs.

New handle bars and finished the springer.
Now I just have to decide on a paint scheme.
I'm kinda thinking of bright green and black.
