CMan-Interesting link, although I don't see the benefit of that set-up at all. You need to use a lever to switch from FW to CB, and then backpedal to brake? That's a pretty complicated process just to apply a brake, imo.If I try to do a cheap freecoaster, I intend to run a rear rim brake.As for the pawls engaging the brake: I'd be stunned if they did. The cog's gotta go back a few degrees before the brake is engaged...
