Greetings! -- this is my first post to this group.
A few weeks ago I purchased an old Futuramic bike, in fairly good condition, from a grad student who was moving. He told me he had gotten the bike from another grad student from Germany who had left it behind when he moved a few years ago.
I have tried to find some information on this bike, with no success. Among other things, I'm trying to figure out how old it is.
On a metal piece welded on the frame, just below the seat area, above the rear fender, there's a bit of info:
ESGE Lizenz PLETSCHER Made in Germany
The chain guard says it's a "Super de Luxe".
I like this one-gear bike a lot. Anybody have any information on this bike, or can you suggest where I might look. Thanks! - Larry, aka, FuturamicRider
