So as i've been doing bike work on the side, a lady who's bike I am working on showed me all her bikes at her house and of them all she had two trikes, one good one and one cut in two. She saw my interest and offered up the part trike, which I was very happy to get. I took the two halves home and decided to just use the rear end, which was in good shape, and just find an extra cruiser to mount it up to. My 93' Murray Westport was a perfect doner, and here is what I came up with.

I found that during the mock up, everything fit together perfect and bolted right up. Rides really good and firm, but I do plan to make some welds to strengthen things a bit. The doner rear end is off an 83' Open Road (Huffy built) with a shimano 3speed hub with coaster brake. The 24 x 1 3/8 tires are a bit hard to find, as they are a 540 circumference, and most 24 x 1 1/4 or 1 3/8 have a 547 circumference, not letting them bead right. Maybe someone knows where I can find a pair.

After a few more tweeks, this is what i've come up with. I've added a front fender since and will put up more picts tomorrow. Hope you like!

Over the winter, I plan to strip down the frame and repaint and rebuild. I wanna build a rear teardrop "trunk" to give a little utility to the project and go with the lines of the frame. I had originally bought the rattle can to match up the faded spots on the frame while it was in the 2 wheeled stage of its life. Im not sure if I wanna do something retro to it or just build something big and nasty.
