Here is my Monark Silver King bicycle, serial number 15523
Let me know what you think. Need more info on it. I believe it's from the late 20's to mid 30's. Original New Departure coaster Model D brake from mid 30's.

Hope to get more info on it as I have never seen an earlier Monark than this one. Thanks ya'll!




 
Monark didn't start producing bicycles until 1935 and didn't venture into steel frames until a few years after that. They were known for their famous aluminum/duralium framed bicycles until the war.

I've never seen an early Monark lightweight like this. A lot of lightweights cropped up around the onset of WWII since they were cheap to make and economical transportation without a lot of wasted metal. I'd definitely guess 41-42 era as well. It's certainly Monark construction too. Neat find!
