Couldn't resist getting this Wallyworld Schwinn 29er. 7 speed. aluminum, side pull brakes.

Unboxing the bike video...

Made a few changes to it. Swapped the bars, stem, pedals and replaced saddle with a Brooks. Stripped the fenders and rack. Also replaced the decal on the chainguard. Replaced grip shifter with a thumb. So far I'm liking it. A little big for me though as I can barely straddle the top bar.
Photos in various stages of changes....

I like that frame, just kind of sucks they only have it in a 29". How high is the top tube off the ground?

I don't want a china bike...but I really like this one too. After seeing Randy's changes, I know I want one. And, with a 36" inseam, I need one. Ying Yang Gary

Thanks all for the comments.
I'm sure I'll change it up some more as I ride it more. The original bars seemed to long for my comfort and the ones I put on too short. I may cut the originals down a little and put back on but I think they might be bent. I need to check. It's not a bad riding bike. Does have all the usual walmart bike issues though.

lts kool to have an old high end bikes but i think the bike deal is takin a diff turn,i think big box bigs are catching on,mor ppl can aford them and you can personalize them how ever you want,i got over the n[its all junk] thing when i bought a 13 yr old schwinn crusier that the brake arm had lost its strap and noe where it was suposed to be,i automaticly thought i would have to re place the rear hug[remembe 13 yrs oid]took it apart and it was fine, bike had typhoons on it,neede a kick stand, bought it for 25 bucks, pretty bike, candy red and silver,i bought a dyno deluxe crusier yesterday for 30 bucks, grease, true wheels, detail and it will be a nice bike, hope i didnt hyjack your thread if i did it wasnt intentional
