this is my 51' schwinn spitfire cruiser. this is the one that started it all.

this is my 62' jc higgins that i just got done putting on a fresh coat of black. current project bike.

this is my 79' columbia clipper 3speed klunker conversion. rough rat for all seasons.

my 1st attempt at pictures. more soon. comments welcome.

im thinking of a revamp for the spitfire. on one ahnd i love the original look of it, on the other i see lots of posibilities too. any ideas?

I agree that the spitfire looks very nice in it's current state.

Can I ask a favor of you? If the spitfire is a 26 inch bicycle, and if you get the chance, can you please measure the front fender braces (horizontal and vertical) as well as the rear fender braces (horizontal and vetical) on the spitfire's fenders and send me those measurements? I would really appreciate those measurements, thank you. (I am making a trade with another site member and will be looking to add braces to a braceless pair of fenders which look identical to yours). Best of luck with the bikes.

no problem, except it will be about a week b4 i get down to where i have the bike. but heck, i was thinking of bringing it up here with me. i will measure the length (and width?) of the fender mounts, for it is a 26" bike and those babies are 100% oem. need anything else, just let me know.
