The Ladies Elgin will give up some of its parts for my 41(?) boys Elgin. The antique bike has me puzzled. I can't seem to find any photos of a similar crank. The crank is about the only distinguishing part of the bike. The rest looks like any other bike from the first decade of the last century. I was sitting in my booth waiting to sell something when a guy walks up with this 90+ year old bike. I jumped out of my lawn chair to check it out and he said it had been his dads. He said his dad had been "into" these old bikes but, he was not and would I like to buy it? I said "how much?" and he said $75! I could not get my money out fast enough!

Nice finds. You stole that last one for $75... I remember seeing it. It looks totally rat, handlebars and all. It has to be at least 100 years old right?

It looks like it was made between 1900 and 1910. I found a small ad for a Peerless bicycle in the Evolution of the bicycle book. The cranks are very close. The arrangement for the head badge screws is also the same.
