They're not as narrow, but here's an ugly fixie I made from spare parts with some narrow bars. There are drop bars but with the drop part cut off.

That's insane, but not completely insane, you could squeeze them in another half inch. Beyond the look, is there a reason for the narrow bars? I imagine they'd be useful up to a point in traffic, but the reduction of leverage around cars scares me

I made a set for myself and put it on my worst bike. For fun. I am definitely keeping them on this bike.

Looks like it would be aerodynamicly advantages. Good at speed on smooth pavement.
