Does anybody know what this tank goes to ?

It seems shorter than the Higgins tanks I've seen. It's about the same size as Maximum Overdrives tank.I have a Higgins but mine has a staight bar on the bottom and I've never seen the dipped one in person.

This tank is about 18" and the holes look factory. Thanks for the help,I'm new to the game and don't know squat.

next time i see the higgins ill try to get a measurement for ya(or maybe karfer would be so kind*hint hint*)

Blaze,
I have the same tank - See below - I have been looking for the right frame for a long time. The holes do take Delta lights as Joe says. I bought the tank and then bought two NOS lights, but as of yet no frame. ANYBODY got a frame!????????

I really like your Higgins - Is it for trade/sale? I am only interested in the frame, forks, fenders and tank. I have lots to trade and I have some cool frames as well. I see you are up in Mass, I am am not far from you down here in Connecticut. We could both save on shipping! :D :D :D

I thought that the tank may be Shelby, but nope, then Ross, but no, so Hawthorne sounds right - especially if Crassly said so!

Thanks, Joe

Thanks everyone.I would say you nailed it.My wife is all excited because it looks like it goes on a womens bike.

To Yeshoney:Unfortunatly the Higgins is my baby right now.I know you understand (I'm the guy that tried to buy Maximum from you at the swap meet. I told you I'd be here. :D ) That thing rules.I'm a sucker for original graphics.

I've already started the Higgins and will start a post for it tommorrow in bike builds provided this storm does what they said it will 5 minutes ago.

Thank you all.

Well ALRIGHT! You gotta promise when you Git'r Done you come down for a Pub crawl down in Hartford!

The tank you have though is a mens bike, not a ladies. The one that Joe showed is a Ladies.

I think we are gonna try for a Halloween Ride near the end of October. Try to plan to be downhere with that bike. I will bring out one of my other Trad Rod Bikes you haven't seen yet. :D You know the ones with the OG paint 8) 8)

Joe

BTW - Where in Mass are you??

Sounds awesome, let me know when you have it.We are kicking ourselves for missing the last one.I'm in Ayer about 2 hours from you guys. It's about 30 minutes west of Boston.

WOW!.Your tank! In an earlier thread about "our" first bikes, I mentioned mine was a 1960 Hawthorne, with a full tank. THAT'S the TANK. It was a middle weight bike. It had the dual rocket lights, with clear lenses. I recognize the graphics. I also mentioned that if anyone knew of the whereabouts of one of these bikes to PLEASE let me know. The bike was completely red with white pins on the fenders............I still want one!
