heres one i have, put a 24" rim on the front and flipped the bars, the tank was all scuffed up but i pinstriped it, the bike is fun, the forks are really nice to work with. with out the 24 up front it sucked riding with the pedals being so low. i may go up to a 26, i dont know.
stretched a bit over 8". 26"wheel in front, 24x3 in back. needs some trimming to get the back wheel in, and i still need to do a little more for better adjustablity. if you stay with a 1-3 speed it won't need as much trimming i think.
and a schwinn that's an endless project
not sure how far it's stretched. it's one of the first stretches i tried and i'm still trying to get it right.
Forks- WCC forks extended using chrome tubes from hardware store. Dropouts cut off and welded back on.
Rear of frame- OCC Stingray, cut down and cranks extended forward.
Top of frame- old straightbar junkpile bike. Don't worry, it was pretty bad, the top bars were the only good thing about it.
Double Union headlights powered by rechargeable pack.
Suicide brake working rear caliper- Schwinn kickstand welded to steel brake lever with bracket welded to frame. Skull brake lever knob. Works frighteningly well!
I didn't build it but I've ridden it a lot. Tons of fun.
