Need some knowledge ....

I'm trying to help a friend out on a bike that he has. It's a Polar Bear. Looks to be from the 50s or 60s. It has a three piece crank and 24" rims. I don't have a picture of it but I'll try and get one. We're just curious on it's history. He's been told it was probably a European bike. I think it was probably a department store bike and more than likely one made for the Christmas season, hence the Polar Bear name. But I'm usually wrong about this stuff. I know Gotavan also has one, but he also knew very little about the bike. This bike question may have been posted before, if so, sorry. Please help us if you do have any info.

Thanks Icy, I couldn't get my computer to search last night for some reason. Hoperfully someone can help Randy (Gorilla) out. Either way, I believe he's taking the Polar Bear to Autorama.
