Never seen this badge before

I went out today into the foul weather to hit a few of our local auto recyclers looking for bikes. Found a few but nothing I needed exept this Schwinn head badge. I had never seen one with the wings so I snatched it up. Any help on the age of it?

The traveler had this badge in the 1950's and i think some of the earlier varsitys too.

I pulled it off of a frame that had been rattle canned red but I could still see some checkerboard on the seat tube. Diamond frame with a Bendix 3-speed.

i like that one, i think our early 60's racers have that badge. 8)

I had a 53 Schwinn World 3 spd and a 56 schwinn Traveler 3 spd both with this badge.

my old 60' scwhinn world has that same badge. diamond frame, 3speed, yada-yada.

That's the badge for many of the early schwinn lightweights. I have that badge on a '56 Sport.

my sons 57 pixie has the winged badge as well(everything on it was bone stock when i got it)

ive seen it on a black traveler-type schwinn for $15 at a garage sale. only had $5. UGH!

If it's small, it's most likely off of an early 60s Schwinn Pixie. I've never seen one of those either until I picked up one.
