Given the interest in Aussie utes I thought some of you guys might like this GM Holden Commodore ute which has been customised with a Camaro inspired front end.

and a standard SS ute (the mild sports offering) for comparison

those are tight!

how come GM only sells motorized shipping containers here? we gotta go to Mexico to get a decent GM ute.....

Man that is SWEET! Why don't they sell those in the states? Badge that baby as an El Camino and they'd sell like Elgin Bluebirds!

Thats cool...
The agressive camaro-nose looks waaaaay better on the ute than the original with the 'euro-look'... Is this a one-off custom or are there kits available?

From what I've read it'll be sold as a kit, and all the parts (lights, grille etc) are all factory GM.

Some people may not know this, especially if you are an American:

The Holden Commodore was fully designed on the free time of the Aussie designers working for Holden. When Holden approached their design staff for a new sport oriented car, the Holden designers said "We already have one".

The '04-'06 Pontiac GTO and the new Camaros are based on the platform of the Holden Commodore.

Thanks Australia.
