Yea really, that chain guard is quite unique and the sprocket isn't an everyday model either. Cool finds!

Thanks, I thought they were pretty unusual and great for parts.
I was checking out that chain guard earlier while I was bringing the
JC Higgins Lettering back to life.

Wish I would find some mens bikes of this vintage. :wink:

That JCH is a fairly uncommon version built by Chain Bike Co (Ross) in the later 50s! The Elgin looks like '39-42 ish. -Adam
