I grew up enjoying mountain biking but left the hobby in my early twenties. I'm just about thirty now and have taken the insurance off my car to be a bicycle commuter for the summer (or later!). I've renewed my love for cycling but it's become so much more. I think it started when I happened to see a Craigslist posting this spring for a free Schwinn Breeze. I immediately picked it up to tinker with and I've had a new appreciation and fascination for modding/restoring bikes ever since.
I'm still just a beginner (and just moved) so I don't have any 'after' pictures yet. I have been collecting seats, handlebars, chains, cassettes, frames, and other misc parts as much as I can while I continue to learn and mod. Hooray for Craigslist! Here are my two current projects...I'm focusing on making the Fair Lady into a sparkly low-rider at the moment but still have quite a ways to go...
