Hello all. I was just searching the net for some information on some vintage bikes and come across this site.
Very informative and great looking bikes.
I have lots of bikes at my house. (7 Kids). The current project is a vintage western flyer. I am not sure if it is the 40's road queen. The frame looks right but someone tells me that it would be a skip tooth. Are all 40's bikes skip tooth's?
The Western Flyer has been previously painted but I have to say they tried to match some of the colors. I will just show a picture of the frame right now. I bought this for my wife.
I have one daughter that loves the new Schwinn Stingrays. We just bought her a full size model last night for $25. I might have to do a bit of work on it and replace some tubes but over all not a bad deal. Does anyone know where to get those rear tubes for the stingrays? I may post a picture of all our bikes at a later time.
Thanks for the great site.
