I'm a 36 year old professor in Conway South Carolina, near Myrtle Beach. When I was 8 I had a schwinn stingray, and I cut out buttons and switches from paper for my imaginary jet booster and machine guns. Not quite 'fabrication' but fun..!
I was just in Colorado on vacation, and went to a fourth of July car show. Way at the end of the line was one rat rod! It was the second one I had ever seen, and I wanted one! I don't know much about cars, but I went online to look into this "rat rod kulture". I found this great site, and it started filling my head with all kinds of ideas.
Beach cruisers are a dime a dozen where I live, so I'll be starting my own rod very soon! I like making things and problem solving, and I'm crazy about the board track / rat rod style, not to mention searching out garage sales and auctions for "stuff".
