Hi,

I just found this forum. Awsome forum. I love the bikes on here.

I have a question, someone was throwing out a Rapido bike (old, I cant identify it) and I picked it up. I want to build it into something like what you guys have on here. I want to paint it flat black.

(I found a few pics on this forum, so I am reposting them. Hope the posters dont mind)

It looks like this but it doesnt have the large shifter. It also reads "Rapido, Made in Czechoslovakia" I dont have any pics of it because it's at my parents place, but any idea if it is worth working on?

Hey, it does look like that. It was kinda beat up so I took off cables, shifters, and so on. Its stripped down. But it does look like that. What "kind" of bike is it classified as? Do you think I can make it rideable? I need something that I can ride short distances and still not look like I stole someones bike. It is kinda small, but it will do. Is it worth my time?

its considered a muscle bike. If its all there and not rusted through, build it up!!! :mrgreen:

i have been doing some research and I think I am going to attempt to build it to a useable state. I looked up "vintage muscle bicycles" and there is something from Expert Village that gives a lot of info. Now for more research I go....
