Newbie Ignorance Part Deux

I am also doing my first build. My frame set came with a 1-1/8" threadless headset. The forks I want to use I can only find with a 1-1/8" threaded headset. Is there any reason I can't purchase a threaded headset and use that in lieu of the threadless that came with the bike?

jeff u should be able to just use the 1 1/8 fork with the threads on it and still use a threadless 1 1/8 stem since the stem just attaches by tightly clamping onto the head tube itself the threads wont matter. hope this helps . if the threaded fork is 1 inch then there is a couple different problems to deal with , but every problem has a solution.
