Well I got my wifes new cruiser done...a late 40's Hawthorne, and decided to go for a little ride. As I was passing by a friends house he hollered out " takes a man pretty comfortable in his own skin to ride a girls bike!". Well I told him "Girls bike? This is the way the top bar should have been on men's bike's!" Anyways after a short convesation he tells me he has some bikes he'd like to get rid of........."lets go take a look!" I tell him. "3 or 4 in the storage building and one hanging the barn" he tells me.

Wifes Hawthorne....

"How much?"........as I rolled them outside to take a better look. "$20 bucks each.....but you have to take them all" I was thinking the whole time, not about the money but what my wife would think. "SOLD"....I'll beg for forgiveness later

Nice finds! If I'm not mistaken, those carriers with the built in dot reflectors, the same type as the red ladies Schwinn, are worth a fair bit of money. The red H.P. Snyder men's tanker is a great score, those tanks can be hard to come by... and the black panther is a beaut. Those are very nice looking bikes.

I've always found it's much easier to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission  .

Nice variety of bikes you got there...they all look to be in great shape...good score.Don't worry about what the wife would say..

Thanks for sharing the Sterling pictures. Mine is going to be my first project from the bunch. Simple clean up and detail, new tires, seat, handle bars and I'm thinking of bobbing the fenders.

looks like a great score there! all cool, bu ti really dig the panther and the ladies hawthorne in the first pict. gives me more inspiration to get going on my wifes hawthorne bike project, and i too had no quams about riding a girls, or "step thru frame" as i like to put it, bike around and can't wait to test ride my wifes bike once i am done with it.

you definatly got you hands full. any plans for them?
