Cant find my thread for the life of me, so I'll start a new one. Its been so long since Ive gotten new bikes (well ones worth posting, ive gotten tons of mountain bikes and junk) Got this Collegiate today from my uncle, needs a lot of scrubbing and new tires.

The Collegiate is not a bad model to start out with. Is that a rim strip wrapped around the seat post?

Yes thats a rim strip around the seatpost, I put it there so I wouldnt lose it.

thats funny I bet in the last year I have found 50 bikes with rim strips hanging out
sweet find it should clean up great!
I should have a seat for that around here if you need one
it should take a black one all the ones I have seen with yellow s seats were a bit earlier and also had yellow grips

haha yeah ive had my share of rim strips hanging out this year as well. If it takes a black seat I know I have a couple laying around, thanks for the offer though!


Its a 1969 by the way.
