My wife, my 9 year old son and I just came back from a 3 day trip to Niagara falls. I called a couple of bicycle rental places about renting ourselves some bikes but for insurance reasons they only rent adult bikes. The first morning of our stay I was up at 5 am (early riser) and while my family (and apparently the whole city) slept I went down to the falls to take some early light pics.

The streets were basically deserted except for a handful of tourists, some maintanence workers and myself.

I thought to myself 'a bike ride would make this perfect, I'd give my Kingdom for a bicycle right now'. I walked up the steps and found this.

I'm laughing and thinking 'This must be be a set up, too good to be true'. There wasn't a soul around. The tires were firm and it sill had 1 good brake cable.I had to talk myself out of riding it but I said to myself 'If she's still there tomorrow I don't think anyone will mind'. The bike sat there all that day. It poured that night and rained into the morning but on my rainy morning walk I saw she was still there. It was starting to rain harder so I headed back to the hotel and never did ride her. I'm too big a chicken I guess.

thanks for the peek!! it's been a while since i have been there. nice place. good call on the summer time trip both times i've been there it's been in the winter.
first time there i made the mistake of parking not far enough away or up wind of horseshoe falls. no lie i came back after a good 2 hours of checking things out to find my car COVERED in ice

Classic GSC!!

I used to ride from Niagara University campus to Goat Island and hang out for hours. There was a spot on the island where you could sit right on the edge of the gorge and have the water go right by you just before the drop. The winter was beautiful with the ice everywhere (although I didn't make your mistake, UCWT, otherwise I might think differently).
