Member Henry Morgan and I met up today at the swap meet and made a trade.

He got my Raleigh PUB and I got the Switchblade....sounds scary don't it?

Anyway...going to make a few modifications to this one to make it suite my tastes.

Okay...Henry's going to hate me for this, but I tried the ape hanger set up and I'm just not an ape hanger kind of guy.

Had these bars off of an old MTB and decided to give them a try. They seem to work pretty well and they are comfortable.

Gave the bike a bath and detailed it a bit and now it's ready to roll. Still considering having it powder coated a different color and putting a set of white walls on it.

those bars look a whole lot better IMHO.

I'm probably the only one here to say this, but I never liked that style of chainring.
Looks like a Mongoose from wallymart to me, but what do I know?

(just ignore the old guy mumbling in the corner and go on pedel'in that chainring).

great looking bike BTW!

I am an ape hanger kind of guy, and I like those bars better Steve. That is a sweet setup. Nice bike.

I like this look ... but I heard that the dude that had it . had metal in his neck .. or some back issue.. so he rolls with the apes...

Hummm one of my favorites. I should have copied it and built one. I bet the front
forks would get pricy. Really a nice score, even though I always liked the PUB too.

I just bought a twenty inch version of one of these from long beach ca cycle show. My seven year old daughter
Loves it but I keep riding it too. I had never seen the kids version and now I need an adult one for me to match. If I just had the extra few hundred laying around...

Bump for old thread. I'm thinking about getting one of these as my layback kinda bike. Question: Is the rear wide enough to fit a 4 inch tire/wheel setup? I crammed a 3 incher onto my Electra but want to go wider.... Next, if I were to say...cut the TT down a few inches to lower the bike, is that going to cause the nose to dive down too much and the pedals to scrape. Or would it look funny because it would then seem to have something of a rake to it???

Thanks.

I can't quite remember the width of the stays in the back on that bike...I didn't have it very long.

It always felt like you were being pushed off the seat every time you would pedal so I decided it wasn't for me.

If you get the itch to trade your Laguna let me know. I may have some thing for you. :D

I've been riding that thing almost daily now...love the way it rides.

It's not often that a bike falls into keeper status in my herd, but somehow it managed to gain that status.
