hey, my name is rob. found this site thanks to hechtrod mentioning it to me at our local vw/bike get together. it is amazing and inspiring to see the stuff that is being done by you guys and gals. my daily commuter is a specialized centrum with some additions to my liking. my cruiser is a schwinn majestic, and i am waiting to take delivery of a felt sixty-8. i am living between layton and ogden in northern utah. i also dig the vintage volkswagen scene. thanks for having me.

sorry bout the last pic - seemed like no matter what i did it was either to big or to small.

Man...that Schwinn is awesome...I've got a thing for black and white bikes and in my mind that thing is perfect-o.

Welcome aboard! :D

Dude, Rob, glad you joined! Awesome bikes you've got there. Agreed, look around to all the builds, check out the RRBBO #3 thread, amazing bikes in there. I'm loving my bike. I'm glad you let it go. ;) I've found my new, much more affordable than cars, hobby. ;) LOL
I've gotta get involved in the Utah bike scene, cruises, whatever. Let me know if you know of anything going on. You mentioned a couple of bike shops that have old stuff, what were those again? Anyway...

Welcome. I really liked the bike with the giant apes on it. Your schwinn is schweet too. Somehow Vintage VWs and Vintage bikes go well together... I don't currently own one, but have had 5 or 6 old vws... mostly fastbacks and squarebacks.
Anyways, welcome.

thanks for the welcome guys, well it happened again. i bought another bike, this time a new (2007)schwinn panther. granted it isn't vintage but i am still stoked.

there is Joey D's place on 25th in ogden, "ye old salt bike's" and then i always talk to gage at the binghams cyclery in sunset.

2manybikes: i believe we have met before at the octoberfest a couple of years ago in twin. looks to be where the pic of the ghia was taken. is that your double cab? is that the same swing bike that was dug out of the trash? when i was going thru the pics of your twin flexie(?) it was difficult to focus on the bike with that lowlight in the background.

thanks again for the welcome.

Now that you mention it I do remember you from the Oktoberfest. That is my D-cab, its my daily driver.
Yeah Rob the swingbike was dug out of a dumpster by a couple of my neighbor kids. I fixed up a couple of K-mart mountain bikes for them and they repaid the favor by giving me the swingbike. It was my first Rat and I still ride it as much as any of my other bikes.
Do you know if Buggcraft is doing the Peach days cruise this year?
