so im a new guy here from Virginia Beach, VA...

im looking to buy a stretch cruiser and dont know where to start...

theres a ton out there that i've found that are pretty cool

the 3 that caught my eye that im looking at are:

micargi rat rod kustom, phat stretch, and electra ghostrider

pricing from 300, 649, and 750

is there really a big difference between these as far as quality goes?

why the big difference in price?

or is it just styling?

i believe the rat rod is a single speed... and the stretch and ghostrider are 3speeds

are these good bikes to start with? i do plan on modding whatever i purchase...

or would you guys recommend something different to start with.. and to build onto?

im short... 5'6... and heavy... 250lbs lol

again,... im lookin for something long wheelbase... i love the look!

any guidance would greatly be appreciated

thanks!

Welcome to the forum!

If you get a chance to see an Electra product in person, you'll understand the price difference.

ok... so i decided to go lower budget...

what do you guys recommend????

i need an inexpensive bike to start off with and to build off of...

would like to stretch it

somebody please help!

It all depends on your budget, i guess.when i started out i had limited budget too.
I bought the cheapest frame that i liked and took all the parts off, bought some new stuff to customize it to my liking.

you can buy a cheap neglected stretchedcruiser just for the frame, that you can fix up with a simple paintjob.
and maybe buy another simple new cheap cruiser for parts and mix it up .

take some time to look around here, there are cheap and easy builds that look smokin' hot......... :D

Conte's Cycle over there by Walmart off General Booth has a pretty sweet selection across the board. I believe it's right off Upton Drive. I used to live in VB. -Adam

I googled those bikes and the rat looks like a cheap way to get started as you can customize it as you go. The Electra is...............an Electra..........it speaks for itself. When I googled the phat stretch I noticed two bikni clad young ladies chasing the dude on the phat stretch

I'd go for the phat stretch.........yeah, I'd do that.
