If only I was 2000 miles closer

Looks like a great show, but the price of admission threw me off.. $22.00 to get in and walk around seemed steep to me, but I guess I'm cheap. Anything I can see at that show, I'm sue I can look up for free online.

More google image pics....

Would love to have a set of the wheels on the bike in the background! Great Build Off stuff.

Went on Sunday with Mike S. I took at least 80 pics and will start posting this morning. What a great gathering and a peek at the future of bicycles. These builders are so talanted. Lots of Bamboo. Huge tubeless tires. Belts drives. Small run machined parts of all types. So cool this was in Sacramento this year.

I'm in Portland for a few weeks and I suppose because this place is such a rabid (and awesome) bicycle town they hosted a NAHBS preview at the Ace Hotel downtown last week. Place was jammed, in fact, there was a line down the block. The place was instantly at capacity so hopeful attendees had to wait for other folks to exit before being allowed in. Only in this town........

Here's some pics I got....

Tailwinds,

Thanks for posting the pics

A Chris King headset for the trailer COOL!!!!

Ira's bike had some really cool details (but don't all of the NAHBS bikes?). It used matching Chris King headset, BB, and hubs on the bike. Then the trailer had the same hubs, and two headsets, one one mounted radially, and one mounted axially on the trailer to allow the trailer to both turn and twist independently of the bike. Super cool.

I'm about 2mi from Chris King HQ right now. I'd love to get a tour, but apparently people far higher than me in the bicycle industry get declined for tours.....
